Realtime Civil Engineering came to Bear Jam to capture the exciting excavation work they were commissioned to carry out on the Royal Albert Hall.
This London institution hosts almost 400 events in the auditorium and many hundreds more around the Royal Albert Hall every year. To mark their 150th anniversary in 2021, the Royal Albert Hall decided to excavate a two-storey, double height basement to provide much-needed space for artists, crew and promoters. The excavation will also enable them to provide more facilities for audiences within the Hall. Making such a fundamental structural change to a precious London landmark meant involving the engineering experts which is where Realtime Civil Engineering stepped in. We helped them record this feat of engineering by using both drone and on the ground filming, adding motion tracked graphics to provide important statistics and details to further explain the excavation process.
